SECTION 41B.OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE CODE ,1973
Ssecions 41B OF CR.PC. defines what are the procedures and duties of a police officer while making arrest. Under following procedure have to be follow before making arrest.
(a)the police officer has to bear accurate, visible and clear identification  name of the arrestee person i.e. identification of name  must be visible.
(b)the police officer prepare a memorandum of arrest and such memorandum of the arrestee person shall be attested by the at least one witness who is either member of his  family or respectable member of the locality .
( ii ) countersigned by the person arrested &
(c)unless the memorandum of arrest is attested by  the    member of his  family the family member,relatives or friends has a right to inform his arrest.

In that case the supreme court  court laid down 11 guidelines  that to be followed before made any arrest or dention .
I will mention here some SIX  guidelines .
1.a person who has been arrested or detained shall be  entitled to have one friend or relative or other person know to him or having interest in his welfare informed as early as possible
2.time, place of arrest &venue of custody of an arrestee must be notify by the police
3.the arrestee may be permited to meet his advocate during interrogation.
4.copies of all the documents including memo of arrest should be sent to the Magistrate .
5.At the time of arrest if thr is any injuary whether it is major or minor must be recorded at that time .
the "inspection memo" must be signed both by the arrestee &the police officer .
6.time ,place of arrest &venue of custody of an arrestee must be notified by the police.
